　　据介绍，韩国红尖椒消费量很大，是仅次于大米的“第二粮食”。由于韩国的土地成本、劳动力成本较高，许多经营红尖椒的韩国商人选择把种植基地放在中国。

　　李孝性说，红尖椒在海南9月播种，经过移栽管理之后，至来年3月初即可采收，正好弥补了他以往3月至5月期间无法供货的空档期。经过这次试验后，他打算明年扩大种植面积至1万亩。海南生产基地与浙江、河南、河北、内蒙古等地的生产基地相呼应后，他可以保障全年向韩国市场供货。

　　海南金玉农业有限公司负责人张中林表示，他们与韩国众多客商有良好的联系，他们计划在去年5730亩“金塔”红尖椒种植面积的基础上，扩大至8000亩左右。近一段时期，他先后接待来海南寻觅货源的韩国客商不下80人，由此可见海南很有潜力成为红尖椒的重要生产基地之一。
